Pike & Sutton - Californiosos - Hannah Georgas - Grace Gillespie - Jett Kwong

Pike & Sutton have really impressed me these last couple of months and return for a third time this year with 'Let The Music Get You High' and once again their soulful vocals and bluesy rock feel are just incredible. === Californiosos have released 'Captain's Got A Brand New Heart' with a suitably matched video. Their described as psych-jazz-folk duo, the song explains that wonderful combination, better than I can. === We have the latest single from  Hannah Georgas entitled 'That Emotion' where her melodic vocals and a refined rhythmic backdrop work beautifully together. === We featured Grace Gillespie twice last year and now we have her latest song 'Goodbye' and it's an intimate, exquisite folk singer-songwriter piece. === Jett Kwong just released 'Tokyo Bath' and it's a sultry, emotional and personal song with a fabulously arranged musical backdrop.

Pike & Sutton - Let The Music Get You High

Austin-based duo Pike & Sutton will release their debut full-length album Heart Is A Compass on April 3rd. Led by "hometown favorites" (Austin American-Statesman) Patrice Pike and Wayne Sutton, the band has evolved out of the longtime alternative rock band Sister 7. Today they shared the video for their new single "Let The Music Get You High," which Austin Chronicle called "a testament and ode to friendship, collaboration, and an abiding mission."

"Let The Music Get You High" is both an ode to music helping us all transcend our challenges in this life and lift each other up no matter how hard things get. The young dancer Azula who is featured in the video, along with her sister May May, represent one of the recipients of the Step Onward Foundation (co-founded by Pike) who is now getting her masters degree and raising a family.

The video depicts a couch which represents the furniture at-risk families take with them from place to place as they try to establish a home in a world that is constantly becoming less and less affordable. Azula expresses through her dance the myriad of feelings teens experience through the frustration of just wanting to turn 18 and have rights to be on their own and take control of their path. This is represented in the 18 marks on Azula's forearm.

Californiosos - Captain's Got A Brand New Heart

California mystical psych-jazz-folk duo Californiosos releases a music video for the single "Captain's Got a Brand New Heart." It follows the release of their self-titled album that was released on February 20th via Independent Release. The project is the brainchild of Farmer Dave Scher and Michael Vest. Farmer Dave is known for his work with acts like Jenny Lewis, Cass McCombs, Kurt Vile, Vetiver and Father John Misty.

With 14 generations of Golden State living under their collective belts, Michael Vest and Farmer Dave Scher aka Californiosos are naturals at bringing the nouveau, cosmic, West Coast jazz-folk-psych sound. Listen as they open the portals to mysticism, classic exotica, secret ancient-future mystery-history, connection to The Goddess, and much more. Positive vibrations and transcendentally-timeless poetic language make every track highly nutritious while strangely edifying.

The ten-track album takes the listener on a full journey through space and time, asking as many questions as it answers and exploring a wide range of musical styles. From the ceremonial shell blasts of “La Concha” to the final giggling elves of “Little Spinning Planet”, you are sure to be opened, amazed, entertained, and amused (possibly even simultaneously).

Hannah Georgas - That Emotion

Hannah Georgas is sharing her latest single "That Emotion," a first glimpse of a forthcoming collaboration with producer Aaron Dessner, best known as a founding member of The National and for his production work with artists like Sharon Van Etten, Frightened Rabbit, This Is The Kit and Local Natives. For Georgas, who spent much of 2019 touring as a part of The National's live band on their tours in support of their album I Am Easy To Find, the track is her first release on a pair of new labels — Brassland, the imprint co-founded by Aaron & Bryce Dessner, and Toronto indie stalwart Arts & Crafts. A display of Georgas' capacity for crafting textured pop songs that confound expectations, the single is an engaging showcase of a hugely accomplished songwriting voice.

The fruit of a relationship born from a long email correspondence between Georgas and Dessner that began before the release of Georgas' well-received 2016 LP For Evelyn, the pair's work together began in Dessner's upstate New York studio in 2018. “Aaron and I agreed the production needed to bring out the truth in my voice," says Georgas. "I always felt happy with my songs but during these sessions we found something else—musically a new warmth and depth and, vocally, a delivery that is more raw and expressive, allowing the emotion of each song to shine through.”

Their musical chemistry is immediately clear on "That Emotion," where Georgas' plaintive vocals are enveloped by an expertly designed arrangement that builds and pulses as Georgas' melody unfurls. "This song is a portrait of one particular way that emotions can build up inside," Georgas explains. "You’re going through the motions, suppressing how you really feel, and pretending things are ok — but your body knows…that deep down life and worry can weigh you down in ways your head might not acknowledge. This song was inspired by the feeling of hiding emotions you would like to express but feeling alone."

Grace Gillespie - Goodbye.

Grace Gillespie is a London-based artist and producer originally from Devon, who spent much of 2017 touring as part of the live line-up for 4AD’s Pixx. In 2019 Grace received PRS’s WMM funding and consequently released her debut EP ‘Pretending,’ which garnered support from the likes of The Line of Best Fit, Clash and Earmilk.

Some of her notable live shows include supporting James Morrison at Dingwalls, Camden and headlining a stage the folk stage at Tipping Point festival in Newcastle. Her first two singles found their way onto Spotify’s ‘Fresh Folk’ playlist and received extensive support from Apple Music, appearing on their ‘A-List’ and ‘Best of the Week’ playlists, as well as backing from NME, Crack In The Road and The Wild Honey Pie.

She has received radio plays from BBC 6 music as well as being a featured artist on BBC Introducing London. Her early demo of ‘Restoration’ saw her tipped to Q Magazine by Newton Faulkner and brought her to the attention of Kaleidoscope, who worked with her to produce her first solo releases in 2018. Her sound takes influences from the folk, psych and dream-pop traditions, providing a backdrop to her intriguing vocal melodies, shifting harmonies and introspective lyricism.

Jett Kwong - Tokyo Bath.

Tidbits about song and video- I wrote this over two trips to Japan. The initial idea came from lavender bath water my first time in Tokyo. The second time around I traveled to an onsen in the mountains, and was soaking in this beautiful outdoor pool in the mist, hoping to feel exalted or something.. of course I didn't, and actually felt kind of miserable.. but that in and of itself was sort of the transcendent moment! This is all coupled with a vision of a Hollywood party (specifically one in Laurel Canyon that Father John Misty might host...), and feeling excluded, laughing at the ridiculousness of it all... yet also feeling bad about NOT being included and wishing to have a piece of the pie. For the video we focused sex/racial tensions.

Jett's work is colored by themes such as family, her identity as a mixed heritage woman, and the complexities of colonial history. “Our identities are colored by the context in which we are in - the way we grow up, our appearance, and our basic interests and beliefs”. It is through this belief that she channels her desire to seek out the true roots of individuality.

Sonically influenced by a variety of sounds from different eras, Jett’s music is built from pieces of the past with an essence of the future. With the desire to spark conversations about identity, the singer/songwriter confides, "I am inspired to tell not only my and my family’s histories, but a broader story of culture -to be a conduit for those stories and to find more innovative ways to express them."

Empowered by issues surrounding women’s rights, social and political reform and questions around justice, Jett hopes to contribute towards conversations for affecting change. Having performed at prestigious venues including the renown Carnegie Hall, Jett Kwong is ready for the next installment of her journey.

Little Misty - Kerry Hart - Henriette - Totemo - The Tristones - Pike & Sutton - Clem Snide

Little Misty have released their self titled album 'Little Misty' which is a collection of nine refined progressive folk songs that are all fabulously arranged. === Kerry Hart has already gained considerable attention, hardly surprising considering the quality of her music, as is again confirmed with the new song 'Great Water'. === German country pop vocalist Henriette shares 'Crash Like This' a song with plenty of power and just a little hint of country rock. === From Israel we have Totemo with 'See You At The Beginning' a beautiful electronic dream pop and highly engaging song. === With a smooth funky groove The Tristones share 'Camaro' a track with all the slick quality Steely Dan used to serve up. === Just four weeks since we first featured the duo, Pike & Sutton return with the new single 'Together' another superb teaser for their full-length debut album 'Heart Is A Compass'. === Clem Snide makes his return just three weeks since we shared 'Roger Ebert', this time we have 'Don't Bring No Ladder' which is another beautiful Americana ballad.

Little Misty - Little Misty (Album).

Little Misty is a progressive folk band from Montreal. The project started from a collaboration between singer Kathryn Samman and guitarist Francois Jalbert.

Surrounding themselves with a quintet of some of the finest musicians and friends in town, Little Misty explores the limits of folk music, bluegrass and progressive rock.

Their songs explore different topics such as motherhood, travelling and mental illness, always in a short movie approach; every song is meant to bring the listener into a world of its own. Their first record was produced by Joe Grass.

Kerry Hart - Great Water.

Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Kerry Hart releases her debut album I Know A Gun. The album, which has already seen notable critical acclaim, has been met with enthusiastic fan response, with over 2M streams on Youtube, and well past half a million streams on Spotify and Apple Music. Today Hart is also spotlighting her new track "Great Water" for fans. She describes the song as "a modern hymnal, a worship song to the water, to the sky, and to the Great Spirit. It's an offering of one's burden on to the alter of Spirit, a pledge of faith to a higher power, a wider perspective. Within it, a potent lamentation, and a prayerful willingness to receive absolution."

Hart's beautiful rendition of Bruce Springsteen's "Secret Garden," was called "stunning" by Forbes in a recent interview, while Folk Alley has praised Hart as well, saying "Very few artists make a first impression so indelible and wondrous that you know within seconds that they are truly special. In the past few years, Courtney Marie Andrews, Anna Tivel, and Dylan LeBlanc all cleared that bar and even raised it with succeeding efforts. Now comes Kerry Hart making a play of her own to join their ranks."

Atwood Magazine also acclaimed Hart's most recent single writing, “'Screaming Quietly' showcases her in a space of complete and utter honesty. Supported by a quiet electric guitar that eventually evolves into a full background of warm harmony, Hart sings her heart out – turning her full self toward those afflicted by pain of all kinds, in mind, body, and spirit."

Hart joined up with Nick Rosen and Léo Costa, multi-instrumentalists who have worked with the likes of Pharrell Williams and Jason Mraz, to record I Know A Gun at Perfect Sound Studios in Los Angeles. The album finds Hart embedding her lyrics with pieces of hard-won insight, enveloping that wisdom in her endlessly warm delivery.  With its lavishly detailed and largely acoustic sound, the album unfolds in transportive melodies and sweeping arrangements, while bearing an edgy complexity entirely unique to Hart.

Henriette - Crash Like This.

The German Country Pop vocalist Henriette managed to attract attention in a pretty short time with her cheerful, honest character and especially her great voice and not only to breathe new life into the Country scene.

With her self-titled debut EP, on Valentine’s Day via Dr. Music Records, she will gain many new fans. Henriette produced the five tracks together with the two producers Jay Tooke, drummer of the legendary band The Steel Woods and James Robertson, well-known guitarist for e.g. Lindi Ortega and Dragonette, in Nashville.

She already presented it live to a large audience as a support act for US Singer-Songwriter John Craigie and at the 10th International Country Music Meeting in early February. With her three singles released so far, the passionate, vivid “Crash Like This” as well as the successful, charming Indian Summer catchy tune “Dream Boy”  and the melancholic “Lighthouse”, the German Country Pop shooting star is currently on rotation on the radio.

The EP also features the two previously unreleased songs “Missing You”, which Henriette dedicated to her mother, who went through a hard time after the sudden death of her only brother, and “Fearless”, in which she processes the fears and doubts before her trip to Nashville.

Totemo - See You At The Beginning.

Israeli producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Totemo releases her stunning new music video for single "See You at the Beginning." The track comes from her 2019 full-length 'Everything Happens Only Once.' Totemo (Rotem Or) is a producer, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Tel Aviv, Israel.

As a teenager, she began honing her mesmerizing electronic dream-pop sound that melded East-Asian soundscapes with moody downtempo synths and haunting vocals. Her debut EP Heavy as My Dreams was released in 2014 while she underwent a year of treatment for cancer she eventually survived. This period was followed by the critically acclaimed Desire Path EP (2016), which received much acclaim.

In 2019, Totemo returned with her first full-length Everything Happens Only Once. Its preceding singles went on to be picked by Spotify on their official Indie-Pop and New Indie Mix playlists (800K+ & 900K+ listeners)

She will be making an appearance at SXSW Festival in Austin before heading out to tour China, South Korea, Thailand, and Singapore, before returning once again to tour Europe.

The Tristones - Camaro.

The Tristones, led by the lively and kinetic blues rocker Tristan Clark from New York, NY, today releases, “Camaro,” the third single from his upcoming album Camaro, out in April. The title track to his forthcoming album, “Camaro” is available on all streaming services and can be found here. “Camaro was a fun song to write. I wanted to have a song that had an Al Green type feel but I never felt like I was the kind of guy to sing Al Green type lyrics.

I decided to change the narrative to be about a car and give it a silly play on a love song,” explains Clark. The track came together quickly and was enhanced by the magic of the full band. “I showed it to the guys in the band, Gregory Jones on bass and Adam Jackson on drums, and they play that style so naturally it clicked right away! We recorded it in Maine and my good friend Dylan Heming overdubbed the keys in Toronto,” Clark describes. “Camaro” is a fun twist on a love story, with the object of Clark’s affection being this desirable, classic muscle car. Catch The Tristones playing their album release show on Stage Two at New York City’s venerable Rockwood Music Hall on Friday, April 3rd!

Working again with longtime friend and colleague Jared Lucow, The Tristones release a lyric video for “Camaro” alongside the audio. The third single from The Tristones’ upcoming full-length Camaro, “Camaro” was recorded in Maine. The track was engineered by Jon Roods (The Rustic Overtones), Stu Mahan (The London Souls, Eric Krasno Band) and Rick Salt. “Camaro” was mixed by Salt and mastered at Tranquality Sound.

Pike & Sutton - Together.

Austin-based duo Pike & Sutton will release their full-length debut album Heart Is A Compass on April 3rd. Led by "hometown favorites" (Austin American-Statesman) Patrice Pike and Wayne Sutton, the band has evolved out of the longtime alternative rock band Sister 7. On Friday they released their new single "Together" which debuted on Billboard.

"The song is about creating a safe place for people to come together and transcend all the bullshit that's going on," Pike told Billboard. "But in retrospect it's kind of about Wayne and I, too. We've been in our friendship throughout the years. We've been through a lot. When people continue to make music together throughout their whole lives, something special happens. So I think those two things are in that song."

Pike & Sutton is a partnership, a creative evolution, and a promise fulfilled. Equally anchored by the powerhouse vocals of Pike and the deep textured guitars of Sutton, Heart Is A Compass is both a transformative celebration of the pair's R&B, soul, and roots influences and an exhilarating call-to-arms for the faithful. Co-produced with Grammy-winner Jim Watts (Emmylous Harris, Jenny Lewis, Kelly Clarkson), the album crackles with passion, vision, and undeniable hip-shaking rhythms.

Clem Snide - Don't Bring No Ladder.

Clem Snide, the moniker of Eef Barzelay, shares "Don't Bring No Ladder," the new single from his first album in five years, Forever Just Beyond, out on March 27 via Ramseur Records/Thirty Tigers. Barzelay has also added new tour dates where the band will be joined by Forever Just Beyond producer Scott Avett.

"'Don't Bring No Ladder' was the first song I sent Scott in the hopes that it would entice him to make a record with me and with the extra secret hope that he would sing it," says Barzelay. "Both of those hopes were sweetly fulfilled. May we all die without resentment and regret."

"Don't Bring No Ladder" is the second single from Clem Snide's forthcoming album Forever Just Beyond. The first single "Roger Ebert" was described by Rolling Stone as "a pretty, probing ballad that contemplates the mysteries of life...Clem Snide uses Ebert’s epiphany to make something that is wildly abstract, both relatable and comforting”.

The road to Forever Just Beyond, Barzelay’s stunning new album under the Clem Snide moniker, was an unlikely one, to say the least. “About ten years ago, everything just seemed to fall apart,” he explains. “The band bottomed out, my marriage was crumbling, I lost my house, and I had to declare bankruptcy. That started this process of ego death for me, where I realized the only way to survive would be to transcend myself and to try to find some kind of deeper, spiritual relationship with life and with being. Once I committed myself to that, miraculous things started to happen.”

Charli Adams - The Flatmates - Pike & Sutton - Seablite - Who Can Sleep

Charli Adams has shared 'Cloverland Drive' ahead of her debut E.P due out at the end of January. We featured 'Backseat' from Charli last month, and again she impresses on this melodic and personal track. === Ahead of their first studio album due in the Spring we have The Flatmates and 'Shut Up And Kiss Me'. One of thirteen tracks, it's a good indicator of the album where vibrant indie rock is consistently present and with hints of 1980's New Wave, overall it's a thoroughly fine collection of songs. === Pike & Sutton have just released 'Bright As The Sun' a gorgeous song with soulful vocals set against a natural alt rock backdrop, that builds with intensity and passion. === Seablite make their second appearance here with 'Skeleton Couch' and once again the band are energised, this time with a shoegaze vibe , that still packs plenty of hooks. === Indie pop/folk duo Who Can Sleep have just released 'All Your Love' a gentle yet atmospheric song that has a calm and pleasing feel to it.

Charli Adams - Cloverland Drive.

Fast establishing herself within the alt-rock landscape, indie newcomer Charli Adams offers a more reflective approach in new cut ‘Cloverland Drive’, the second track taken from debut EP ‘Good At Being Young’, out 31st January via Color Study (Haux, Henry Jamison, Rosie Carney).

Growing up in Alabama, Adams made the transition from cheerleader to passionate songwriter early on in high school. With few musicians, fewer concerts and family that belonged to a deeply conservative church, the alt-rocker resorted to playing secret shows in cafes and coffee shops. At age 16 she left high school and moved to Nashville where she immersed herself in the underground scene and began creating a wealth of material unbecoming of her adopted hometown.

Already receiving heady comparisons to several of her contemporaries, the young musician’s mature songwriting, focusing on the friendships and hardships of her formative years, has attracted plaudits from key taste makers including Billboard.

Explaining the origins of the track, Adams revealed: “‘Cloverland Drive’ is the name of the cross street I’ve lived off ever since I moved to Nashville on my own at 17. I wanted the song to be an ode to the Nashville music scene that I grew up with, and my house that we called home. It’s a special place and we all joke I’m not allowed to move out at this point. I hope it reminds people of their long lost friend, teenage drives, house parties and the way it feels to be young”.

The Flatmates - Shut Up And Kiss Me.

A mere 34 years after their first show, indie – pop – punk band from Bristol UK, The Flatmates, release their eponymously titled first studio album, officially their debut, this Spring. “The Flatmates” will be released early 2020 by The Subway Organization in Europe (the label’s first release since 1994), and by Happy Happy Birthday To Me in the US.

The album marks the culmination of a very fruitful period of writing for the band, with main songwriter guitarist Martin Whitehead’s songs being augmented by contributions from singer Lisa Bouvier and keyboard player Rocker.

The self-recorded album features thirteen (lucky for some) killer pop songs, all originals, including the opening track ‘Shut Up And Kiss Me’, which was released in late 2019 on a limited edition 7” by independent Greek label Old Bad Habits. Side one also takes in “You Held My Heart”, the first Flatmates single to be written by singer Lisa and the organ-swirling groove of “She’s So Bad for You”.

Side two opens with the anthem for the indie generation “Last Guitar in Town”, which Martin wrote after waking suddenly to find a tall dark figure standing at the foot of his bed and a gravelly voice speaking the words... “Listen son. No-one...gives a fuck...about your rock’n’roll”. “This Is Reality” brings you round with a slap in the face and the flip-side continues through the live favourite “Punk Moth” and the crime drama “The Night We Murdered Love”. “The Flatmates” closes with the brass-stabbing, string-sweeping, ivory-tickling, finger-snapping, soul-stomping call to the barricades that is “(If You’re Going To Give Your Life For A Lost Cause, Then...) Why Can’t It Be Love?”

With the release of “The Flatmates” the band have now notched up new releases in each of the 5 decades from the ‘80s to the ‘20s.

The album was recorded in Bristol at Rocker’s home studio StAR Studios, by bandmembers Martin, Lisa and Rocker plus bassist Matt and drummer Brian, with guest appearances by Wendy Pickles (The Popguns; The Perfect English Weather); Katie Gatt (Personal Best, Colour Me Wednesday); Geoff Gorton (Arrest! Charlie Tipper, The Dukes Of Mumbai); Harry Furniss (Iceman Furniss Quartet); and Thomas Aherne (The Proctors, Peru).

Pike & Sutton - Bright As The Sun.

Austin-based duo Pike & Sutton have announced their full-length debut album Heart Is A Compass will release on April 3rd. Led by "hometown favorites" (Austin American-Statesman) Patrice Pike and Wayne Sutton, the band has evolved out of the longtime alternative rock band Sister 7. Today they shared their new song "Bright As The Sun." American Songwriter stated "When many listen to music, they want it to relate to them. They want to feel as if they are living the story the artist is telling and Pike & Sutton do just that with 'Bright As The Sun.'"

"I love that 'Bright As The Sun' starts like a gentle rain and builds into something big and beautiful," Pike told American Songwriter. "We live in Austin and had been in an extreme drought. The lyrics and music reflect renewal, literally with water, and also the sound of a house being filled with songs from the record player. It's about lack moving into abundance."

Sutton continued, "This record is a step forward for us musically and is different than anything Patrice and I have done. There's certainly recognizable elements. It's us, but we have pushed ourselves in songwriting and stretched the pallet."

Since last fall, Pike & Sutton have been teasing some of their new songs, including title track "Heart is a Compass" and a reimagined version of Otis Redding and Carla Thomas' classic "New Year's Resolution" with special guest John Popper of Blues Traveler. They also made their anticipated return to Austin City Limits Festival in October, check out their performance of "Hands Up."

As Little Sister/Sister 7, Pike and Sutton ruled clubs and festivals throughout Dallas, Houston, and Austin as the most melodically riveting jam band in the southwest. With their two major label albums - 1997's This The Trip and 2000's Wresting Over Tiny Matters on Arista Records - the band's musical evolution took national stages alongside artists such as The Allman Brothers, Sarah McLachlan, The Nevill Brothers, Ray Charles, Chris Isaak, and Dave Matthews Band. Rolling Stone called Pike "Tina Turner, Bessie Smith, Janis Joplin, and Robert Plant all rolled up into a tiny but explosive package," while Billboard said she is “One of the finest new contemporary rock singers in America.” In 2007, Pike was inducted into the Austin/Texas Music Hall of Fame alongside Lucinda Williams and other notable Texans.

Pike is also co-founder of the Step Onward Foundation and has collaborated in raising over $1 million for supporting education, housing, and sustainability for young adult survivors of homelessness and children surviving critical illness in the last 10 years.

Seablite - Skeleton Couch.

Bay area shoegaze / dreampop 4-piece Seablite return with "Skeleton Couch' off their upcoming 10" EP 'High-Rise Mannequins'  (Emotional Response Records).

2019 finished with critical acclaim across the board for SEABLITE’s lives shows and their excellent debut album topping many Year End “Best-Of” lists. There was even a surprise and welcome placing at #36 in Good Morning America’s top 50 albums of the year, rubbing shoulders with some industry giants!

The new year sees the band off to a flying start, with a brand new 4 song 10inch EP, that builds on their growing stature as songwriters and performers. Recorded by Alicia Vanden Heuvel (The Aislers Set, Poundsign etc), in San Francisco, the new recordings capture the band at an exciting moment in time, as they take their place amongst the growing list of Bay Area fuzz-pop indie-greats.

Who Can Sleep - All Your Love.

Who Can Sleep are an indie folk- pop duo based in California. Having met while sharing a bill at the historic El Cid venue in Silverlake, Dean Vivirito and Lex Helgerson quickly discovered a spark, both musically and romantically. Vivirito wanted to start a project that wouldn’t be held back by labels or genres and so the two set out with the intention to create a contemporary sound that is both fresh and diverse. Combining ethereal instrumentation, country tinged guitars and stunning vocal harmonies, the project entitled Who Can Sleep is a cross-genre exploration of sound.

Helgerson composes heartfelt, candid lyrics as a vehicle for stories of inspiration. Who Can Sleep's latest single “All Your Love” started as a dream. The songwriter instantly jotted down her visions when she woke up, painting a beautiful kaleidoscope of sounds and lyrics. Helgerson confides on the meaning of the song, “Dean is very selfless in our relationship. He inspires me to be more generous, and sometimes I wonder if I give enough. I wanted to express the feeling that I might not be giving as much as I receive”. The contemplative track shimmers with soft, floating vocals, delicately twangy guitars and gentle percussion. Vivirito shares, “I distinctly remember while rehearsing the song, we were working on the tempo and groove and it was too fast. I told Lex the listener should be reminded of that post-sex feeling”.

The duo are heavily inspired by the likes of Bruce Springsteen, so much so that they recently covered Side A of his seminal Born in the USA album. The two also find inspiration from great country classics, as well as modern tastemakers such- Billie Eilish, Blood Orange and Childish Gambino.
